2023 Road Improvement Program

The road construction work included in this project includes:

  • Milling/Removal of existing roadway and driveway aprons to property line, repaving road surface, repaving driveway aprons to property line or up to sidewalk and replacing sections of curb and sidewalk on Maple Ave W, Elm Court, and Willow Drive. Curb replacement will be completed before the road work begins.

7th Line Weekend Road Construction

Ongoing road construction work will be undertaken on the 7th Line between Sideroads 10 and 15, on Saturday, August 5, 2023 and Monday, August 7, 2023 from 8am to 3pm, weather dependent. Minimal traffic disruption is anticipated.

Dayfoot Street Phase 1 - Temporary Haul Route Change

Please be advised that Town Staff have approved a temporary 3-day amendment to the Dayfoot St Phase 1 Haul Route along County Road 10 as shown below. This amendment is due to County Road 10 (CR10) scheduled to be closed next week to allow Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway to complete repairs to their crossing.

Drainage Master Plan Study - Phase 2

The Town of New Tecumseth has completed a town-wide Drainage Master Plan Study (DMP). The DMP provides a long-term flood mitigation strategy to improve the Town’s drainage system and reduce flood risks to property, public safety, and the environment. The DMP builds upon the Town’s Official Plan (2019) and is completed in accordance with Provincial plans and policies. This project was funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Natural Disaster Mitigation Program (NDMP).
