Community Grant Applications Open

The application process for the Town of New Tecumseth’s 2024 Community Grant Program is now open. The deadline for completed applications to be submitted is Thursday, February 29, 2024.

 The Parks, Recreation and Culture department administers the Community Grant Program, prepares a summary report for review and recommendation by the Grants Review Committee in March/April, for Council’s consideration at the 2nd Committee of the Whole in April, and approval at the 1st Council Meeting in May.

2023 Road Reconstruction Extension

2023 Road Resurfacing Project - 10th Sideroad is Deferred until June of 2024.

The extension is necessary due to additional time required due to the following reasons:
• Additional concrete works required in Tottenham & Beeton Areas 
• Delays in obtaining Utility locates
• Weather related delays
• Delayed tendering & award of Contract. Contract was not executed until July 24, 2023.
• To better coordinate with the Line 6 / Sideroad 10 Signalization project

Toys for Tickets is Back for 2023!

From Wednesday, November 29 to Friday, December 8, 2023, only, the Town of New Tecumseth is accepting toys or gift certificates as payment for your parking ticket. Purchase a toy and bring it in its original packaging along with the receipt to the Administration Centre that is of equal or greater value of the parking ticket.

Mill Street East Sidewalk Realignment

Sidewalk relocation work will be starting on Nov. 6. The work is located on the south side of Mill St. East (4th Line) at the railway crossing, between Keogh St. and The Boulevard, Tottenham. Traffic and pedestrian disruption can be expected. In accordance with Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) requirements, their flagging personnel has also been retained as the work is in close proximity to the tracks and CPR requires uninterrupted operation as part of this project.
