Midhurst/March 18, 2024 – The County of Simcoe and the Town of New Tecumseth are collaborating to prevent homelessness while supporting residents across the region. Mill Street Road Closure for CP Rail Repairs

UPDATE: Mill Street is reopen. 

CP Rail has closed Mill Street in Tottenham for Emergency Track repairs. Pedestrians can use the north sidewalk. There is no estimated time of reopening. Traffic can reroute using either the 5th or 3rd lines. Watch our social media and website for updates.

Danieles Gate/Kate Aitken Crescent Pedestrian Crossing Reopening December 18, 2023

The pedestrian crossing located at Dayfoot Street and Danieles Gate/Kate Aitken Crescent will be open to the public on Monday December 18th. The road is expected to remain closed with access to local traffic only until Friday December 22nd due to the ongoing construction.

New Tecumseth adopts 2024 Business Plan & Budget

NEW TECUMSETH, ON – The Town of New Tecumseth adopted its 2024 Business Plan & Budget at its December 11th Council meeting.

The approved 2024 Budget reflects a net operating and capital levy of $43.9M resulting in a 7.89% general levy increase. The Town’s capital levy dedicated to asset replacement increases the levy by an additional 1.5%.
