Structure fire in Alliston 

NEW TECUMSETH, ON – New Tecumseth Fire Rescue received multiple 911 calls for a structure fire located on Tupper Street West in Alliston on April 5th before 8pm. 

Upon arrival crews found a working structure fire with flames venting through the roof. Two occupants that were home at the time safely evacuated and sustained no injuries. Fire crews rescued one dog, unfortunately another dog and two cats perished in the fire.

Boyne River pedestrian bridge closed

The Boyne River Pedestrian Bridge located between Dominion St. and Fletcher Cres., Alliston, is closed until further notice due to deterioration and safety concerns. It will be closed until a bridge assessment can be completed to determine the next steps.

Shut Down of Tottenham Transmission Main

The Tottenham Transmission Main (TTM) will be temporarily shut down on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00am for approximately 12 hours due to watermain work as part of the Beattie Bridge Watermain Upgrade project. There will be no interruption to the supply of water during this time.
