NEW TECUMSETH, ON —The Town of New Tecumseth welcomes $156,892 from Ontario’s Road Safety Initiatives Fund (RSIF) to enhance safety in school and community safety zones without relying on Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras.

Mayor Richard Norcross, Council, and the Town of New Tecumseth extend our deepest condolences to the community of Tumbler Ridge, B.C., in the wake of today’s tragedy. Our hearts are with the families, students, staff, first responders, and all those affected.
As we join communities across Canada in mourning, flags at all Town facilities are being lowered to half mast.
Updated Winter Road Maintenance Notice

Due to the province wide shortage of winter salt, New Tecumseth’s Transportation Operations team will be shifting to a sand–salt mixture in our urban areas.
While the extreme cold makes salt less effective, the main reason for this temporary change is to ensure we responsibly manage our limited salt supply.
Once the supply issues are resolved, we will return to our standard winter maintenance approach.
Our crews are committed to keeping our community safe and moving throughout the winter season...
