McGahey Street Road Closure - Extension

The McGahey Street road closure in Tottenham has been extended to October 18, 2024. This road closure begins at Sydie Lane and ends at Pierce Place.

Following the sewer repairs surface works will be completed, including concrete curb, sidewalk, asphalt and boulevard restoration.

Beeton Memorial Arena Repairs

The Beeton Memorial Arena chiller, the equipment used to make ice, will be undergoing repairs. To ensure there is no disruption to users, the Town is bringing in a temporary portable refridgeration unit (similar to the one used at the New Tecumseth Recreation Center last spring) while repairs are being made. The unit is expected to arrive on Monday, September 23, 2024. Our seasonal programming will continue as scheduled. Once repairs are complete, the temporary unit will be removed.  

Crack Sealing Program

The Town’s annual crack sealing program will be starting today, Monday, September 16, 2024.  Crack sealing is an important step in maintaining asphalt surfaces.  It helps to stop water from penetrating the roads surface and causing further damage.  The crack sealing contractor will first route a crack to create a uniform gap on top of the crack.  They will then put hot a hot rubberized compound in the routed crack and left to cool.  The crack can be driven on almost immediately after the rubber...
