NEW TECUMSETH, ON – The Town of New Tecumseth is pleased to share that on January 16, 2026, MPP Brian Saunderson announced provincial approval and funding of up to $12,527,165 for the Alliston Wastewater Treatment Plant Clarifier Rehabilitation through the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program’s Health and Safety Water Stream.

UPDATE as of 8:20 AM - Wellington St W has re-opened and all water service has been repaired. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Wellington Street West is currently closed between Paris Street and Ambrose Heydon Street due to a watermain break.
Please use alternate routes while crews complete the necessary repairs.
