Fines issued for illegal dumping 

NEW TECUMSETH, ON – New Tecumseth Municipal Law Enforcement responded to a complaint of dumping refuse/debris at a commercial plaza in April 2021 that resulted in charges being laid for Municipal Act violations under the Town’s Cleaning and Clearing By-Law. 

In collaboration with the Nottawasaga OPP, New Tecumseth Municipal Law Enforcement, spoke to witnesses and investigated the complaint.

Gravel Road Improvement Program

Public Works has contracted Lisbon Paving for the Gravel Road Improvement Program. Ditching, minor road widening, and culvert replacement on the 2nd Line from 1250m west of Sideroad 15 to Sideroad 17 will begin on July 4, 2022, with asphalt paving to commence later in the month.

Watermain Flushing - Tottenham

Please be advised that the Town of New Tecumseth’s Public Works Department will be conducting routine flushing of all municipal hydrants in the Tottenham Distribution System starting on July 11, 2022.  This preventative maintenance process will be performed daily (during regular business hours) and may take up to six (6) weeks to complete.

Please take note that Lilly Street (9th Line)/Patterson Street (10th Sideroad) intersection south towards Stewart Street will be closed for Stage 2 works beginning June 27, 2022, to approximately August 31, 2022. Local residential traffic will be able to access their driveways on the Patterson Street.

Temporary Road Closure - Tottenham Community Week Street Festival

Please be advised that Queen Street from Dillane Street to Sullivan Drive, as well as Mill Street from Walkem Drive to McGoey Drive will be closed on Saturday, July 2 from 6am to 6pm for the Tottenham Community Week Street Festival.
