The Town is hosting Reframe – A Mobile Unlearning Exhibit, a travelling educational exhibit designed to encourage reflection and learning around Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA).
Through posters and guided prompts, the exhibit invites staff and community members to think critically about social justice and how we can support a more welcoming and accessible municipality.

Queen Street Resurfacing – 2025 Road Improvement Program

The Town of New Tecumseth advises residents and property owners that Lisbon Paving Co. Ltd. will be resuming road improvement work on Queen Street, between Nolan Road and 177 Queen Street South (Tottenham Water Tower).
The project includes the following activities:
- Removal of the existing asphalt surface
- Repaving of the roadway
- Installation of new pavement markings, including parking spaces

Public Notice: Environmental Site Assessment on Town-Owned Properties
The Town has retained Soils Engineers Ltd. to undertake a Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) on various Town-owned properties bordered within Mill St. W., Queen St. N., George St., and Walkem Dr. in the community of Tottenham.
Field work will include:
- Drilling soil boreholes
- Installing groundwater monitoring wells

Staff Cupcake Day Fundraiser Supports Local Humane Society

Town staff recently hosted a lunchtime Cupcake Day fundraiser in support of the Alliston & District Humane Society, raising $430 for the local shelter.
Thanks to the generosity of staff and participants, all proceeds from the event will help provide essential food, shelter, and medical care for animals in need. The fundraiser was a meaningful and enjoyable way to give back to an organization that plays a vital role in our community.
