Canada Day Holiday Hours

Happy Canada Day Weekend!

Please note, our Town facilities will have modified hours on Tuesday, July 1, including Town Hall, New Tecumseth Recreation Centre, Tottenham Community and Fitness Centre and Museum on the Boyne.

They will reopen during regular business hours on Wednesday, July 2.

Official Plan Review Update

The Province is updating its population methodology guidelines to reflect provincial priorities and evolving methodologies. As such, we will defer further work on New Tecumseth’s Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Growth Management Study until the province’s guideline is finalized in the coming months.

Industrial Parkway Sanitary Sewer Replacement

🚧Heads Up: Sanitary Sewer Upgrade Ahead🚧

We have an upcoming Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project happening on Industrial Parkway in Alliston from June 27 - July 7.

This essential work will help improve our infrastructure and ensure a more reliable sewer system for everyone.

Please be aware that there may be some temporary disruptions, but we'll do our best to minimize any inconvenience.

Road Resurfacing on Thomas Street Starting in June

The Town of New Tecumseth is moving forward with improvements to local infrastructure, announcing that Lisbon Paving Co. Ltd. has been awarded the contract for resurfacing Thomas Street, between Dayfoot Street and Centre Street North.

The upcoming construction project, scheduled to begin as early as June 16, 2025, will include several key upgrades:

• Repairing curbs and catch basins at various locations
• Removing the existing asphalt surface
• Repaving the road
• Repainting road markings
