This essential work will help improve our infrastructure and ensure a more reliable sewer system for everyone.

Road Resurfacing on Thomas Street Starting in June

The Town of New Tecumseth is moving forward with improvements to local infrastructure, announcing that Lisbon Paving Co. Ltd. has been awarded the contract for resurfacing Thomas Street, between Dayfoot Street and Centre Street North.

The upcoming construction project, scheduled to begin as early as June 16, 2025, will include several key upgrades:

• Repairing curbs and catch basins at various locations
• Removing the existing asphalt surface
• Repaving the road
• Repainting road markings

Road Closure King Street North

A section of King Street North, between Victoria Street and Fletcher Cres., has been closed to traffic following a gas line being struck earlier today.

Emergency crews are currently on site conducting repairs to address the situation and ensure public safety.

Treetops Park Washrooms Temporarily Closed

June 24 @ 3:15 pm - Washrooms have since re-opened. 

We have temporary closed the public washrooms at Treetops Park following an incident of vandalism.
