Rogers to extend network

Rogers has advised the Town it will be extending its fibre network to underserved homes in New Tecumseth with speeds up to 1.5 Gigabits per second and able to support much faster speeds as technology advances. Rogers is currently in the planning stage of this build and is working towards having all underserved areas of the Town covered by the end of 2025.

Lions Pavilion replacement

Work to remove and replace the Lions Pavilion located at 237 Fletcher Crescent in Riverdale Park, Alliston – across from the hospital – starts Friday, October 14.

The current structure has exceeded its lifecycle and replacement was included in the Council approved capital budget for Riverdale Park improvements. The parking lot beside the structure will be temporarily unavailable for the duration on construction.

Flags lowered for South Simcoe Police

We send our sincere condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the South Simcoe Police officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty. All Town of New Tecumseth flags are lowered as our thoughts and prayers are with you and all the South Simcoe Police Service.

Trail Maintenance - 13th Line & 20th Sideroad

The Parks Business Unit is currently performing some maintenance to the Trans Canada Trail between the 13th Line and 20th Sideroad.  This section has been gated and will be closed until further notice.
