Earlier today, Brian Saunderson, Member of Provincial Parliament for Simcoe–Grey, announced that the Ontario government will provide funding through the 2026–2027 Connecting Links program to resurface portions of Victoria, King, and Young streets, from the Alliston West Plaza easterly to Industrial Parkway. Please be advised that Greenaway Street, from Queen Street to Alexander Street, will be closed on March 12 starting at 7 AM to allow for a sewer lateral repair.

We encourage motorists and residents to plan alternate routes and use caution in the area.

The Town of New Tecumseth has received complete applications for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment for 4824 Sideroad 20. These applications ask to change the property’s land use and zoning so the existing Contractor’s Shop and Yard can continue to operate, and to confirm the area that must stay protected for the environment.
