Lisbon Paving will commence road works on the 2nd Line from 1250 meters West of Sideroad 15 to Sideroad 17, on August 3, 2022. Residents will see road grading, asphalt paving, shouldering and line painting; to be completed by August 12, 2022, weather permitting. Please follow the directions of the Traffic Control Person while travelling in the construction zone.

UPDATE: 2:48PM - Watermain has been repaired and the road has been reopened.
There is a watermain break at 50 Nelson Street West in Alliston. The street will be closed from Church Street to Paris Street during the repair.
21 residents will be affected by this watermain break, including Alliston Memorial Arena.

Public Works’ Shoulder Maintenance Program begins July 20 which helps improve road drainage and reduce shoulder drop-offs and vegetation. Once the shoulder has been reclaimed, material is left loose to dry out and is regraded within a few days. More https://bit.ly/3OchAg8.

Please be advised that the Town of New Tecumseth has recently awarded the 7th Line Road Reconstruction contract (“Works”) to Fermar Paving Limited (“Contractor”). Triton Engineering Services Limited (“Consultant”) has been retained to provide Contract Administration and Inspection services for this project on behalf of the Town.
The Works entail the reconstruction of 7th Line from Sideroad 10 to Sideroad 15 spanning over approximately 3.1 km with proposed asphalt width of 7.0m with 1.2m paved shoulders.

Fines issued for illegal dumping
NEW TECUMSETH, ON – New Tecumseth Municipal Law Enforcement responded to a complaint of dumping refuse/debris at a commercial plaza in April 2021 that resulted in charges being laid for Municipal Act violations under the Town’s Cleaning and Clearing By-Law.
In collaboration with the Nottawasaga OPP, New Tecumseth Municipal Law Enforcement, spoke to witnesses and investigated the complaint.
