July 30 - Fire Danger Rating is Extreme

New Tecumseth, ON – Effective immediately, the Town of New Tecumseth has issued a total open-air burning ban due to ongoing dry conditions. This proactive measure is essential to safeguard public safety and reduce the risk of wildfires during this period of elevated fire danger.

What’s Prohibited:

• All forms of open-air burning, regardless of existing burn permits
• Use of fireworks
• Cooking fires and any coal, charcoal, wood, or woodchip-fueled barbecue devices

Update on 9th Line Bridge Closure

Civic Holiday Town Facilities Hours

As we prepare to enjoy the Civic Holiday weekend, the Town of New Tecumseth is advising the public of modified hours at several municipal facilities on Monday, August 4.

Facilities affected include Town Hall, New Tecumseth Recreation Centre, Tottenham Community and Fitness Centre, and Museum on the Boyne. These locations will operate on adjusted schedules for the holiday and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, August 5.
