Riverdale Park Accessible Trail project

Public Notice for Start of Construction for the Riverdale Park Accessible Trail project per Council Report ENG-2021-18 dated May 31, 2021. 

The scope of work for this project includes construction of approximately 350m long by 2.5m wide, AODA complaint multi-use asphalt trail along the Boyne River in Riverdale Park in Alliston. 

The project also includes for installation of benches, garbage receptacles, trail lighting and fixtures, retaining wall, improving drainage, and required trail signage. The trail
will run west of the Boyne River Pedestrian Walkway bridge to connect to the staircase near the swimming pool in Riverdale Park.

The Contractor on this project is Forest Ridge Inc. The Contractor is anticipating to mobilize on site as early as July 14, 2021 to begin prepping the site office and site fencing. The project is scheduled to be substantially completed by end of October 2021. 

 

Please be advised that access to the existing dirt pathway from the Boyne River Pedestrian Walkway bridge will be closed for the duration of construction and the area will be fenced. Residents are requested to access the Riverdale Park and pool area using the sidewalk on north side of Fletcher Crescent.
