Annual Traffic Calming Program

Shephard Avenue, 4th Line, and Patterson Street Traffic Calming Projects 

Please be advised that the previous Shephard Avenue, 4th Line, and Patterson Street Traffic Calming Projects have been approved for annual installation. 

The Shephard Avenue Project will include the installation of four (4) speed humps with warning signage.

 The 4th Line Project will include the installation of four (4) sets of flexible bollards between Sideroad 15 and Sideroad 18,  and the Patterson Street Project will include the installation of three (3) sets of flexible bollards near Maple Avenue East.

 It is anticipated that the Shephard Avenue, 4th Line, and Patterson Street installation works will be completed by the Town of New Tecumseth’s contractor between May 1st – 9th, 2025. Installations may continue during the week after if needed due to unfavourable weather.

 The winter removal of all the speed humps and flexible bollards will be completed by November 1, 2025.
