Accessibility - Portable Ramp Grant Program

Do you operate a business in New Tecumseth? Is it accessible for wheelchairs, scooters, strollers and walkers? The Town of New Tecumseth and its Accessibility Advisory Committee are dedicated to helping business owners increase accessibility, and are offering a grant program to assist in the purchase of a portable ramp. Please complete the grant application form and submit to the Committee Secretary. For more information on accessibility and the grant program, please view our brochure. 

Community Improvement Plan

If you own a business or property in one of New Tecumseth's three downtown areas, you may be eligible for grants through our Community Improvement Plan program.

Nottawasaga Futures Loans

Nottawasaga Futures offers loans up to $150,000 to support the creation of new jobs, or maintain existing jobs, in the community. You can apply if you have a business located in the municipalities of Adjala-Tosorontio, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Essa, Innisfil and New Tecumseth.

The County of Simcoe Tourism, Culture and Sport Enhancement Fund supports and enhances tourism, culture and sport in Simcoe County by investing in initiatives that promote awareness, access, participation and appreciation of the diverse tourism, culture and sport offerings within thee County.

Jobs and Growth Fund

The Jobs and Growth Fund helps employers pay for training costs for current and future employees.

Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership

Interactive Digital Media Fund

The Interactive Digital Media Fund provides funding through Ontario Creates on a range of programs to help strengthen Ontario's cultural entrepreneurs.

Technology Investment Program

Through Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters this program provides direct financial assistance to manufacturers in southern Ontario in the form of a matching contribution of up to $50,000 to support the investment in long-term production assets and technology that increase capacity and reduce emissions on production.

CTMA: Career-Ready

The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association is providing $5,000 for each apprentice an employer hires in their facilities for tool and machining programs.

APMA: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund

Fund develops new talent pipeline that will construct pathways to historically excluded groups such as youth, women, newcomers and racialized communities.  The DEI supports employers and community partners in their efforts to access, train and retain meaningful employment for new hires.

Regional Development Program: Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness Stream

The Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness (AMIC) Stream will provide financial support to advanced manufacturing companies for capital equipment, technology adoption and skills development.

Skills Development Fund focuses on investing in enhancements to training, workforce development and program delivery for workers in Ontario.

FedDev Ontario's Business Scale-up and Productivity stream helps accelerate the growth of firms and assist with the adoption of new, innovative technologies that support scale-up, productivity, and the development of and entry into new markets to help companies become globally competitive.

The Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation supports growth or expansion of innovative companies based in Southern Ontario. They offer loans of $150,000 to $500,000 to create jobs in our communities.

Science and Technology Internship Program - Green Jobs

Science and Technology Internship Program - Green Jobs provides funding to eligible employers across Canada to hire and mentor youth in the natural resources sector, including in energy, forest, mining, earth science and clean technology.

Innovation Solutions Canada is an initiative designed to stimulate technology research, development and commercialization of Canada innovations.  The program's Challenge Stream and Testing Stream help startups and small/medium-size businesses overcome technology testing development hurdles so that they can produce globally-demanded products and services.

Canada Media Fund

Through many program, the Canada Media Fund supports a dynamic environment where creators, producers, broadcasters, and distributors partner to generate content for Canadians and global audiences to enjoy.

Canada Business Financing Program makes it easier for small businesses to get loans from financial institutions by sharing the risk with lenders.

Canada Summer Jobs provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, public sector and private sector organization with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.

Funding under Community Economic Development and Diversification aims to generate sustainable, inclusive growth and help small and rural communities in southern Ontario to fully participate in and benefit for economic opportunities.

First Nations and Inuit Employment Strategy

The First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program helps First Nations and Inuit youth acquire essential employment skills and learn about job and career options.  The First Nations and Inuit Summer Work Experience Program provides youth with summer employment opportunities where they can gain work experience and develop important skills such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork.
