Community Transportation Program

What is the Community Transportation program?

Seniors and residents with special assistance mobility needs can take advantage of our Community Transportation Program. The program provides rides to participants so they can travel to things like medical appointments or grocery trips.

Eligibility:

You must be a resident of the Town of New Tecumseth and 65-years-old or older, or a resident of the Town with special mobility assistance requirements.

How do I register for the Community Transportation program?

Download and complete a Community Transportation Program Registration Form, or pick up a form at the Town Administration Centre. You must submit your completed form to the Town Administration Centre to be eligible to use the service. If you are approved, the Town will send you a letter summarizing the details of the program. An Identification Card will be included for you to present to the taxi driver when using the program.

How do I arrange a trip using the Community Transportation program?

Once you are approved for the program, call the eligible taxi providers to arrange your trip. Members must ensure that they obtain a receipt for the taxi ride and provide receipts along with the completed Reimbursement Form.

Members should submit for reimbursement on a weekly basis.
