2026 Community Grant Program - Closed

The 2026 Community Grant Program will open on January 2, 2026. Please note that all grant opportunities are contingent on the allocation of funding as part of the Town’s budget process. The total funding available for grants will be determined annually through the budget process.

 It is very important to review the Community Grant Program Policy before filling out an application.
 Community Grant Program Timelines
  • January 2nd - Grant Application Intake Period commences
  • Last Day of February, 4:30pm - Deadline for grant applications to be received
  • March/April - Community Grant Program Committee review and process of applications
  • 2nd Committee of the Whole in April - Committee presents allocations to Council for approval
  • 1st Council Meeting in May - Council ratifies Community Grant Program application recommendations

  • All information submitted is public and will be published on the Town Website in a Council Meeting Agenda.
Community Grant Program Categories
 Community Fee Waiver Grant

Funds provided in this category are available to offset Town established user fees to rent space, equipment or provide supplies.  This may include but is not limited to, space rental, signs, equipment (e.g. tables, chairs, sound system, etc.) or in-kind services (e.g. staff set up / take down, re-locating picnic tables, etc.) 

Maximum eligible grant amount: $1,000.00. 

Community and Events Grant

This category provides funding to assist organizations that provide services or events to the community, which are beneficial to the community, not currently provided by the Town and consistent with the Town’s strategic objectives. This category will support a variety of community celebrations, festivals and specials events. Funds provided in this category will include requests for initial start up funding, equipment, material and supplies purchased.

Maximum eligible grant amount: $2,000.00.

Community Arts, Culture and Tourism Grant

This category supports local not-for-profit organizations promoting activities and initiatives that enhance the cultural and artistic landscape of our community through education and participation.  This includes visual, performing, and literary art.  Educational Programs can include cultural learning opportunities for all ages, workshops, classes and outreach programs. The Tourism component support initiatives that provide community festivals, cultural celebrations, tourist attractions and special events whose efforts attract visitors to the community. This category can provide funding for the operation of significant cultural facilities that provide core services to the community.                     

Maximum eligible grant amount: $25,000.00.
Application

The Community Grant Program uses a web application form that requires all mandatory fields to be completed at once before the application can be submitted.

You can now upload attachments directly within the form. Once all fields have been completed, you can sign the Organization Agreement by selecting "Click here to Sign." After signing, the application will automatically guide you to the next step for submission.

If you need to provide additional documents to support your request, please email them to grants@newtecumseth.ca after submitting your online application. We will ensure they are added to your submission.

After your application has been submitted, you will receive an email prompting you to confirm your email address. Once confirmed, a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your full application package, including a copy of your application will be sent to you.
