The Town of New Tecumseth Finance department is responsible for collecting property taxes for the Municipality and on behalf of Simcoe County and the School Boards.

Property taxes
The taxes collected by the Town are used to provide services that benefit the community at large, which include things like the maintenance of roads and parks, garbage collection and snow removal. Property taxes are levied through two billings per year. The Interim Tax Bill is issued in February, with instalments due in February and April. The Final Tax Bills for residential properties are issued in June, with instalments due in June and September. For properties with Commercial, Industrial and Multi-residential assessment the Final Tax Bills are issued in July, with instalments due in August and October.
