You can learn how to operate fire extinguishers with our Fire Extinguisher Training program. New Tecumseth Fire Rescue's Prevention branch teaches you how to operate an extinguisher and how to be safe with the equipment. We use a brief presentation, theory instruction and hands-on training in our process.
The training is available to community groups, businesses and organizations. We recommend training for:
- Bus monitors
- Nursing home staff
- Commercial and industrial employees
- Scouts and guides
- Day care facilities

The course is $10.00 per person. All not-for-profit organizations are exempt from the fee.
Mobile training unit
We offer a mobile fire extinguisher training unit that you can book. The unit will come to your organization and we provide all necessary course material on-site.
