Wastewater Treatment
The Town of New Tecumseth Operates Three Wastewater Treatment Plants.
The Wastewater Division is responsible for the conveyance and treatment of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional wastewater within the Town of New Tecumseth. All wastewater operators must be certified to operate any aspects of the wastewater treatment and collection system(s). The Town of New Tecumseth provides training to operators to ensure they meet the strict requirements to maintain wastewater certifications.
The Brendan Holly Wastewater Treatment Facility is a Class III plant located at 6315 14th Line. Wastewater is pumped to the plant from five pumping stations – four in the southern and eastern sections of Alliston and one in Beeton. Once the wastewater has been treated and has met rigorous standards it is discharged into the Nottawasaga River.

The Alliston Wastewater Treatment Plant is a Class II plant located at 4982 Sir Frederick Banting Road. Wastewater is pumped to the plant from three pumping stations in the central and northern sections of Alliston. Once the wastewater has been treated and has met rigorous standards it is discharged into the Boyne River.

The Tottenham Wastewater Treatment Plant is a Class II plant located at 6830 4th Line. Wastewater is pumped to the plant from four pumping stations within Tottenham. Once the wastewater has been treated and has met rigorous standards it is discharged into the Beeton Creek.
