Youth Award
Youth volunteers in New Tecumseth, aged 15- to 24-years-old can be honoured with the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers. This medal recognizes the outstanding contributions of young volunteers in Ontario.

Submitting a nomination
You can complete the Youth Volunteer Nomination Form online or pick up a copy at the Administration Centre.
You can submit your nomination in-person at the Administration Centre in Alliston or mail it to:

Deadline
The deadline to submit your nomination is January 15 of each year.
Approval process
After you submit your nomination, the Clerk's office forwards the nomination to Council. Council then selects the inductees for that year.
We will contact both the inductee and the submission's author with next steps for the awards celebration that year.
Medal presentation
The medals are presented at a special ceremony at Queen's Park and hosted by the Lieutenant Governor. This usually takes place in May each year. Along with the medal, each recipient receives a framed certificate and lapel pin.
