Help Shape the Future of Recreation, Aquatics, Culture, and Libraries in New Tecumseth
NEW TECUMSETH, ON – The Town of New Tecumseth and the New Tecumseth Public Library are proud to announce a collaborative initiative to develop a future-focused Recreation, Culture, and Library Action Plan (RCLAP), alongside an Indoor Pool Feasibility Study. These two projects will help guide long-term decision-making for indoor recreation, aquatics, culture, and library facilities and services across the Town for the next 25+ years.
“Recreation, library, and culture facilities are vital spaces for the community to play, learn, and connect,” said Mayor Richard Norcross. “As New Tecumseth’s population grows, we want to hear from the community about how they use our facilities, services, and programs—and what options should be considered for the future.”
The Town is committed to engaging residents in meaningful ways to better understand what facilities are needed and which programs and services matter most. Over the coming months, residents will have several opportunities to participate, including surveys and open houses.
While the Beeton Community Centre is not included in the scope of the RCLAP, the Town is excited to begin work on this important project in the near future. A separate consultation process will be held to ensure residents have a dedicated opportunity to share their input and help shape the future of the Beeton Community Centre.
