February is Kindness and Courtesy Month

The Town of New Tecumseth is proud to proclaim February as Kindness and Courtesy Month.

This initiative encourages residents, businesses, and community organizations to embrace acts of kindness and foster a culture of respect and compassion throughout our community.

Kindness is more than a gesture—it improves well-being, strengthens relationships, and creates a ripple effect of positivity. Simple actions such as helping a neighbour, volunteering, donating to local charities, or offering a smile can make a meaningful difference.

"Kindness and courtesy are the foundation of a strong, connected community,” Mayor Richard Norcross said. “Every small act of kindness can make a big impact. Let’s work together to make New Tecumseth a place where compassion and respect thrive—not just in February, but all year long."

We invite everyone to participate by performing acts of kindness in your daily life, extending courtesy and empathy in all interactions, supporting community events and charitable initiatives, and practicing self-care to better care for others.
