New Tecumseth CAO resigns

NEW TECUMSETH, ON – The Town of New Tecumseth’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Blaine Parkin has resigned from his position.

Parkin will stay on with the Town until December 31st, 2023.

“On behalf of Town staff and Council, we thank Mr. Parkin for all of his years of service, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said New Tecumseth Mayor Richard Norcross.  

Parkin has been the CAO for the Town since July 2017. Before taking the top administrative role on a permanent basis, he acted as Interim CAO for four months prior following the retirement of the former CAO. Parkin originally joined the Town of New Tecumseth in the position of Deputy CAO in 2015.

The Mayor, Council and staff will be discussing the next steps for recruiting for the position.
