Shephard Avenue and 4th Line Traffic Calming Project

Please be advised that the previous Shephard Avenue and 4^th Line Traffic Calming Projects have been approved for annual installation.  The Shephard Ave Project will include the installation of four (4) speed humps with warning signage. 

 The 4^th Line Project will include the installation of three (3) sets of flexible bollards with warning signage between Sideroad 15 and Sideroad 18. It should be noted that the number of flexible bollard sets has been increased by one (1) compared to the 2023 installation and that the lane widths between the bollards will be decreased as a pilot program.

 Please also be advised that a new Traffic Calming Project will be implemented on Patterson St near Maple Ave E, as directed by Council. The Patterson St Traffic Calming Project will include the installation of three (3) sets of flexible bollards and one (1) permanent radar speed sign facing northbound vehicles near Maple Ave E. 

 It is anticipated that the Shephard Ave, 4^th Line, and Patterson St installation works will be completed by the Town’s contractor between April 22^nd – 26^th, 2024. Installations may continue during the week after if needed due to unfavourable weather.

 The winter removal of all the speed humps and flexible bollards will be completed by November 1, 2024.

 For your information, please find the attached Public Notices for the Shephard Ave, 4^th Line, and Patterson St projects which will be hand-delivered to the residential properties within the project limits by the end of this week.
