One Day Experiences
Our One Day Experiences provide a range of exciting, short-term activities perfect for a single day of fun and engagement. From hands-on baking and craft tutorials, to lively "Parent's Night Out" experiences and festive holiday family parties; these programs are designed to offer memorable, diverse experiences in a compact format. Ideal for families, they provide opportunities to explore new hobbies, enjoy special events, and create lasting memories in just one day.

Dive into the world of acrylic paint with Canvas Creations, a one-day immersive painting experience designed for adults. In this engaging and relaxed setting, you'll learn fundamental painting techniques from our seasoned instructor, Katherine Fievet, who will guide you step-by-step through the creative process. Pajama Party! (ages 4-11) |
Calling all parents! Could you use a break? We are having a pajama party where your kids will have fun crafting and playing games while you enjoy a few hours to go out for dinner or run some errands! We will even take care of story time and brush teeth to help make bedtime a breeze for you! Kids, don't forget to wear your favourite pajamas!

PA Day Programs (ages 4-11) |
Get ready for an action-packed day at one of our Fun-tastic PA Day Programs, where participants will dive into a world of adventure, creativity, and fun! Step Back in Time PA Day at the Museum June 6, 2026 - 10:30 AM - 3 PM - no registration required (come and go) Join us for PA activities at the Museum on the Boyne. Celebrate Indigenous Peoples History Month with come and go activities such as the Moccasin Identifier craft, loom beadwork, and skill-testing games. We are also pleased to welcome wildlife photographer, Jason George, who will be leading an interactive presentation using photos, pelts, skeletons and more! |
Active Play & Learning Programs
Active Play and Learning programs are designed to blend physical activity with educational enrichment. These programs offer a dynamic and engaging experience that focuses on promoting gross motor skill building, while also fostering cognitive development and social skills. Participants enjoy a balanced mix of exercise and learning, ensuring a fun, healthy, and stimulating environment that supports overall growth and well-being.
Little Sprouts (ages 2.5-4) |
This program emulates the kindergarten experience by providing a child-led, play-based program geared towards supporting healthy child development and kindergarten readiness. Please provide indoor shoes and a nut-free snack. Children must be able to be dropped off and participate independently. Children must be toilet trained.

Energy Blasters (ages 3-8) |
Get ready to unleash your energy and have a blast! Our Energy Blasters program is designed to get you up, moving, and having fun with a variety of high-energy group games and movement activities. Back in Time PA Days |
Step back in time with special PA day activities at the Museum on the Boyne. Come explore the past in a fun and interactive way with old-timey crafts and games, historical demonstrations, and challenging scavenger hunts. Recommended for ages 5+. Kinder Dance (ages 3-4) |
Twirl, jump, and move! Young dancers will dip their toes into the basics of dance while learning a choreography. Participants will explore various dance styles throughout the class. This program focuses on movement and fun. Families will be invited to an end-of-session recital to see the choreography their younger dancer has been working on.

Pirouette, Jeté, Plié! This program is for the young dancer wanting to learn ballet while having fun. The classes are designed to introduce children to basic ballet positions and movements. Little ones will develop balance, strength, control and self-confidence while also learning how to take turns and follow instructions. Families will be invited to an end-of-session recital to see a choreography their younger ballerina has been working on.

Zumba Kids (ages 7-11) |
Zumba® Kids high-energy dance inspired workout is packed with kid-friendly dance steps including the traditional cumbia, salsa, merengue and a variety of other rhythms. We break down steps, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class routine. This dance party promotes a healthy lifestyle and incorporates fitness as a natural part of children's lives. Food & Nutrition Programs
Our Food and Nutrition programs offer an engaging exploration of healthy eating and culinary skills. Snackful of Fun! (ages 5-7) |
In this fun with food program, children will learn how to make easy no-bake snacks and treats they can recreate. This program serves as an introduction to our other kitchen Programs, it covers some basic food and kitchen safety elements along with the importance of the Canadian Food Guide. Participants work to create a cookbook, filling it each week with a new recipe that they get the opportunity to make in class and bring home after. Junior Chef (ages 10-13) |
Want to cook? It has never been this easy! Learn about basic food preparation and tricks to making time in the kitchen a breeze while creating simple, tasty meals. Participants will create a cookbook, filling it each week with a new recipe that they get to make in class and bring home after. Weekly, the Junior Chefs will explore various elements of a restaurant and work towards opening their own for the final program night; where, they will have the opportunity to invite two people out to their restaurant grand opening.

The Town of New Tecumseth is pleased to partner with Get Outdoors to offer this BLS Recertification course. Designed to build participant confidence in performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team dynamic. Participants will learn how communication and role setting will optimize performance to ensure to best results while providing (CPR). Please note that a valid BLS certificate is required in order to renew your credentials. If you do not currently hold a valid certificate, we invite you to explore our full certification courses.

Emergency First Aid - EFA (ages 13+) |
The Town of New Tecumseth is pleased to partner with Get Outdoors to offer this EFA course. A one-day in class course that offers lifesaving first aid skills that focus on the things you need to do before emergency services get to your location. Emergency wound care to stop life threatening injuries, Breathing emergencies and CPR being the main focus of this course.

Standard First Aid with CPR C - SFA (ages 13+) |
The Town of New Tecumseth is pleased to partner with Get Outdoors to offer this SFA course. Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR, injury prevention, CPR and AED.
