Museum on the Boyne

The Museum on the Boyne, located at 250 Fletcher Crescent, Alliston, has a large collection of household, agricultural, industrial and archival artifacts. Our exhibits trace the growth of South Simcoe from early settlement to present day and show the richness of our local history. The site includes the Agricultural Fair Building, a log cabin and an English barn.

Museum hours

  • Summer (June to August) Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Winter (September to May) Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


There is no fee for admission but you may make a donation if you wish to support us.

Book a tour

We offer guided and self-guided tours for you and your family. For groups of 10 or more people, we recommend you schedule your tour in advance. Book your tour today to learn about our rich heritage and see our history up close.

Children's programs

We have many fun programs for preschoolers and youth. We enjoy combining learning with creative play to give your child the best hands-on experience possible. Some of our activities include summer day camps and programs for PA days, holidays and March Break.

Wall of Honour

We celebrate Museum month in Ontario by honouring a citizen of South Simcoe for their contribution to the preservation and promotion of history. The Wall of Honour is located on the upper level of our gallery.
