Creatively explore our rich local historic tapestry with engaging hands-on workshops designed for ages 16 and up. Our approachable 1-2 hour workshops, hosted by talented third-party instructors or enthusiastic museum staff invite you to play, create, learn, and connect. New dates will be announced soon. |
Back in Time PA Days |
Step back in time with special PA day activities at the Museum on the Boyne. Come explore the past in a fun and interactive way with old-timey crafts and games, historical demonstrations, and challenging scavenger hunts. Recommended for ages 5+. Children visiting the museum must be accompanied by an adult. Dates: May 2, 2025 - 10:30 AM - 3 PM - no registration required (come and go) Step back in time with fun PA Day heritage activities. Join us for leather craft, candle making, artifact sleuth and historic table games, and more! Recommended for ages 5+ June 6, 2026 - 10:30 AM - 3 PM - no registration required (come and go) Join us for PA activities in celebration of Indigenous Peoples History Month at the Museum on the Boyne. Drop in for come and go activities such as the Moccasin Identifier craft, loom beadwork, and skill-testing games. |
Museum Spuds and Sprouts |
Introducing Museum Spuds and Sprouts – our way of welcoming our youngest visitors to explore, play, and learn at the museum. Great for ages 2-4, we are pleased to offer themed hands-on crafts and sensory activities to introduce you and your little ones to the museum. Children must be accompanied by an adult. |
Special Events |
June 21st - National Indigenous Peoples Day - 10am-3:30pm Drop in to the museum to paint with Tony Jones from Artdigenous and participate in the moccasin identifier project. Recommended for ages 7+. Admission is by donation. July 1 - Canada Day - 10am-3:30pm The museum will be open to visitors on Canada Day (Tuesday). You can also find us at New Tecumseth celebrations in Tottenham from 4pm-8:30pm. |
