The Museum on the Boyne has a great selection of programs for children and young adults.

 Heritage Highlight Talks

Dig into the past with our museum lecture series, where history comes alive through engaging 45-60 minute presentations by esteemed guest speakers and knowledgeable museum staff. Join us as we explore a range of historical and culturally significant topics that offer insight into the heritage that shaped our community.

 Museum Makerspace Workshops

Creatively explore our rich local historic tapestry with engaging hands-on workshops designed for ages 16 and up. Our approachable 1-2 hour workshops, hosted by talented third-party instructors or enthusiastic museum staff invite you to play, create, learn, and connect.

 Back in Time PA Days

January 24, 10 AM - 3:30 PM
Step back in time with special PA day activities at the Museum on the Boyne. Come explore the past in a fun and interactive way with old-timey crafts and games, historical demonstrations, and challenging scavenger hunts.

Recommended for ages 5+. Children visiting the museum must be accompanied by an adult. 
Admission by donation. 

 Museum Spuds and Sprouts

Introducing Museum Spuds and Sprouts – our way of welcoming our youngest visitors to explore, play, and learn at the museum. Great for ages 2-4, we are pleased to offer themed hands-on crafts and sensory activities to introduce you and your little ones to the museum.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 Time Traveler's Toolbox

Drop-in to the Museum on the Boyne for interactive presentations and demonstrations exploring the fascinating world of historic trades, occupations and everyday tasks interwoven with stories of local people, places and artifacts.

These lively sessions are hosted at the museum on select dates throughout the year and are great for all ages. Demonstrations will take place at regular intervals during open hours, giving you a chance to watch, participate and even create something to take home.

March Break Programs

We will be open March 8, 10 and 11, 10 AM - 3:30 PM for self-guided visits, which includes our scavenger hunts. 
Between Wednesday, March 12 and Saturday, March 15 enjoy a self-guided visit or register to participate in our program activities.

On Wednesday, March 12th, Knights in the Classroom will be on site for special presentations. More details and registration links to come soon!
