You can find beautiful and scenic trails within New Tecumseth to explore and enjoy.

Trans Canada Trail

The New Tecumseth section of the Trans Canada Trail has been completed through a partnership between the Town of New Tecumseth, the County of Simcoe, Trans Canada Trail Ontario and Trans Canada National Office. This trail has been constructed in sections and to date, 16 of 26 km have been completed as part of Trans Canada Trail system that extends across Canada. Plans for parking areas and the remaining trail connections will be completed in future years.

The trail is non-motorized and great for walking, biking, skiing and horseback riding.

Tottenham Conservation Area Loop Trail

The Tottenham Conservation Area (TCA) offers something for everyone - wetlands, ponds, fishing, beach, swimming, open fields, campsites, 18 hole disc golf course, picnic areas, beautiful trees, natural grass areas and heavy bush. It is ideal for naturalists and photographers.

The Tottenham Conservation Area Loop is a relaxing, 2.2 km trail within the TCA. Parking and washroom facilities are available during the summer time.

Points of Interest

  1. From Mill Street, turn left onto the track.
  2. Beach and swimming area.
  3. Join vehicle track.
  4. Enter forest and follow twist and turns of the trail.
  5. Follow the trail to the right.
  6. Leave forest open for grassland, follow the tree line while climbing the hill.
  7. View across to Tottenham Road.
  8. Proceed through a small pine forest area.
