Bids and Tenders

The Town of New Tecumseth is committed to ensuring its procurement decisions are fair, open and transparent.

The Town establishes rules governing the procurement/purchasing​ of Goods and Services (ex. Tenders, RFP's, RFQ's, RFI) that reflect the best value for the taxpayer, protect the Town's financial interests and encourage competitive Bidding in accordance with applicable treaties such as Canadian Free Trade Agreement and Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

Bid process

The anticipated value of procurement determines the bid process that will be used. If a purchase warrants a formal competitive bid it will be posted on Biddingo.

Co-operative Purchasing​​​​​

The Town of New Tecumseth is a member of the Georgian Bay Area Public Purchasing Co-operative (GBAPPC). The GBAPPC membership comprises a broad spectrum of public agencies operating within the Georgian Bay area including municipalities, school boards, hospitals, colleges, and various other public entities that share resource efforts to procure similar goods and services through collaborative processes to recognize additional savings. 

In addition the GBAPPC, the Town of New Tecumseth​ may participate from time to time in procurements conducted as part of the following buying groups:
