Mayor Richard Norcross

Welcome to the Town of New Tecumseth, our small Town charm is balanced with a mix of urban and rural amenities that help make our community a desirable destination to live, work and play.

As a vibrant and growing community, we have consistently been named one of the top 5 safest communities in Canada. New Tecumseth is conveniently situated about one hour north of Toronto and is home to more than 40,000 residents.

We are fortunate to be rich in community spirit, active volunteerism and a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Throughout the year, we have several exciting and unique festivals and events including Community Week, the Potato Festival and the Honey Festival – that continue to draw visitors to Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham.

Our business community, amenities, recreation facilities and programs, libraries, social and community services and more continue to have New Tecumseth building on our vision of maintaining our small town character while supporting our rural, urban and agricultural communities.
