Trails
You can find beautiful and scenic trails within New Tecumseth to explore and enjoy.
Trans Canada Trail
The New Tecumseth section of the Trans Canada Trail has been completed through a partnership between the Town of New Tecumseth, the County of Simcoe, Trans Canada Trail Ontario and Trans Canada National Office. This trail has been constructed in sections and to date, 16 of 26 km have been completed as part of Trans Canada Trail system that extends across Canada. Plans for parking areas and the remaining trail connections will be completed in future years.
The trail is non-motorized and great for walking, biking, skiing and horseback riding.

Wooded area
Enjoy the beautiful wildlife in our wooded area. This section of the trail connects to Highway 9.

You can enjoy our beautiful pond and access our parking area.

Beeton/Trestle Bridge
Check out the Beeton/Trestle Bridge – make a rest stop or visit our local businesses for a break.

New Tecumseth/Innisfil Border
Explore the path that leads to Cookstown and Thornton.
The Town has 3 parking areas available for trail users; no overnight parking is allowed.
5450 13th Line
Toward the north end of the trail, there is a parking lot on the south side of 13th Line, just east of Sideroad 15. See the street view below.
6088 11th Line
The second parking lot is just north of Beeton and is located on the south side of 11th Line, just east of Sideroad 10. See street view below.
41 Mill Street West
The most southern parking lot is located on the south side of Mill Street West, just to the west of the Tottenham Feed Store and almost directly across the street from Industrial Road. There is a small walk east along Mill Street West to access the trailhead.

Tottenham Conservation Area Loop Trail
The Tottenham Conservation Area (TCA) offers something for everyone – wetlands, ponds, fishing, beach, swimming, open fields, campsites, 18 hole disc golf course, picnic areas, beautiful trees, natural grass areas and heavy bush. It is ideal for naturalists and photographers.
The Tottenham Conservation Area Loop is a relaxing, 2.2 km trail within the TCA. Parking and washroom facilities are available during the summer time.
- From Mill Street, turn left onto the track.
- Beach and swimming area.
- Join vehicle track.
- Enter forest and follow twist and turns of the trail.
- Follow the trail to the right.
- Leave forest open for grassland, follow the tree line while climbing the hill.
- View across to Tottenham Road.
- Proceed through a small pine forest area.
