The Town of New Tecumseth provides day camp for children aged 4-17 years. All day camps are designed to build campers imagination, curiosity, creativity, self-esteem, and confidence.

Summer Day Camp Options
Inspired by New Tecumseth’s potato farming heritage, Camp Tater Tot promises exciting weekly themes, creative indoor games, and outdoor adventures. With smaller camper-to-staff ratios, personalized care is guaranteed. Plus, enjoy refreshing water play and weekly swims. Big fun starts small at Camp Tater Tot – join us this summer!

Join us for a classic summer camp experience! Get ready for a week filled with fun activities, engaging games, creative crafts, and plenty of smiles. At Camp Kaleidoscope, we create a safe and enjoyable environment where you can make lasting memories and new friendships. Each week brings a fresh opportunity with changing themes, offering new experiences just like a kaleidoscope of colors.

Prepare for a summer full of splashes and smiles with our Aqua Adventures camp! Whether your child is a budding swimmer or just loves the water, this camp offers the perfect blend of aquatic fun and skill development. Campers will progress through the Lifesaving Society – Swim for Life program, enhancing their swimming abilities and water safety knowledge through daily lessons.
Please note: Due to the depth limitations of the Alliston Rotary Pool, we only offer Lifesaving Society lessons up to Swimmer Level 3. Campers who surpass this level will transition into our Next Step: Essential Skills or Next Step: Advanced Skills programs. These specialized swimming programs operate independently from the Lifesaving Society curriculum and do not include badges or report cards. These programs are designed to teach select skills from Swimmer Levels 3–6, excluding any deep-end-specific skills that cannot be accommodated at this facility.

Slam dunk your way into an action-packed summer at Super Sportacular Camp! This dynamic camp program focuses on developing skills and confidence across a variety of sports, all in a supportive and energetic environment. Each day is filled with athletic fun, teamwork, and new friendships.

Step into nature with Camp Wonderwander! This outdoor adventure camp invites curious minds to explore trails, learn bushcraft and survival skills, and discover local ecosystems through hands-on activities. Each day blends structured programming with supervised free play to keep campers active and engaged. This camp focuses on outdoor education.

Play Ball is a fun, Inclusive, recreation focused baseball and softball summer camp. Partnering with New Tec Baseball this camp is designed to help youth stay active, build confidence and learn new skills, with a strong emphasis on leadership in sport. Activities are intentionally designed to support all experience levels, and highlight physical literacy and teamwork and summer enjoyment.

More Camp Information
Camp registration is available online or over the phone.

Day camps are offered daily Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Camp is offered throughout the summer at various locations; however, they do not run on Statutory Holidays or weekends.
Please note, Aqua Adventures – swim camp participants will be dropped off at the Alliston Rotary Pool for 8:45am and picked up at the Riverdale Pavilion.
Day Camp locations:
- Camp Leads – Senior staff who oversee the day to day activities for all camp locations town wide.
- Camp On-site Leads – The Senior Staff who is responsible for the program planning, campers and staff at a specific camp location.
- Camp Assistant On-site Leads – Senior Staff responsible for the campers and staff at a specific camp location.
- Camp Counsellors – supervise a group of children, while following a set schedule and outline of activities throughout the day.
- Inclusion Facilitators – work directly with a camper who may need additional support to successfully participate in a camp day.
Our camp staff are fun, energetic and personally invested in ensuring a successful camp experience for each camper!
You will take comfort in knowing that all of our summer staff have been carefully selected after a thorough screening process including an interview, reference checks and vulnerable sector check.
All staff are certified in First Aid & CPR-C. The are also required to participate in Behavioural Management Systems and HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development Training.
Our counselors undergo an extensive pre-camp training program which include topics such as program planning, understanding child behaviour, problem solving, emergency procedures, as well as practical experience such as leading games, crafts and songs!
Whether you need to get somewhere early or need a little extra time at the end of the day, camp staff are on site to interact with campers. Extended care requires additional registration and has separate morning or afternoon options for each corresponding week.
Extended care is available daily from:
- 7:30 am to 9:00 am
- 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Extended care rates are:
- Before Care (5 days a week): $39.13 per week
- After Care (5 days a week): $39.13 per week
- $6.65 fee will be charged for late pick up every 15 minutes
Extended care is only available at certain camps and locations.

Campers of all abilities and/or special needs are welcome to participate in our summer camp programs. We are committed to providing positive accessible and inclusive experiences and recognize that some individuals require additional support in order to successfully participate.

The Town of New Tecumseth follows all public health guidelines.
• Headcounts are taken multiple times throughout the day
• Low camper to leader ratios
• Campers will be divided into separate age appropriate Squads with a designated leader
• Designated camp rooms for each Squad with space for personal items
• Dedicated supplies for each Squad
• Designated sign in/out locations
• Balanced outdoor programming (weather permitting)
Items to bring daily:
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Nut-free snacks and lunch
- Refillable water bottle
- Bathing suit and towel (where applicable)
- Closed toe/heel shoes &/or running shoes
- An extra set of clothing
Make sure to write your child’s name on all items. We donate lost and found items at the end of each week.
Leave at home:
- Toys and electronics
- Personal valuables
In an effort to ensure a positive, safe and secure environment for all involved, participants are asked to review and adhere to the Behaviour Guidelines for Recreation Programs.

Each child is required to complete a Camper Information Form (CIF) prior to attending camp. The CIF can be completed and emailed to camp staff. A copy of the CIF will also be emailed along with the camp newsletter prior to your chosen camp week. Paper copies will also be available at each camp location.

Camp is such a fun and exciting time. To make the most of your child’s camp experience, we have created a Summer Camp Welcome Package to help best prepare for camp this season. Please look through the package as it will help ease you through the process and answer some common questions.

Camper Medical Forms
Please complete the Consent to Administer Epinephrine form if your child requires their epinephrine at camp.
Please complete the Administration of Medication Form if your child requires medication to be administered while at camp- inhaler, prescriptions, etc.
Please complete the Allergy Alert form to inform staff of any allergies that your camper may have.
