The Town of New Tecumseth will be completing maintenance work on the Beeton Municipal Drain beginning October 5, 2026.
The work involves removing built-up sediment from the drain near Centre Street North to help maintain proper water flow. Work crews will access the site from the south end of Second Street and will remove the excavated material for disposal off-site.
Construction Schedule:
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Expected Completion: October 23, 2026 (weather dependant)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM
Traffic and Access:
During construction:
- One lane of traffic will remain open during working hours.
- Two lanes of traffic will be available outside of working hours.
- Safe pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
- Temporary driveway access interruptions may occur. Residents affected by these closures will be notified by the contractor, who will work to minimize disruptions and arrange alternate parking if needed.
What to Expect:
Residents and motorists may experience temporary delays, increased construction activity, and noise in the area while work is underway.
