Starting in May 2026, the Town will be conducting routine sewer main flushing in Tottenham and Beeton as part of our ongoing wastewater system maintenance program.
Sewer main flushing is essential for maintaining system performance by removing debris, sediment, and buildup within the sewer pipes. This proactive work helps reduce blockages, prevent backups, and support the reliable operation of the sanitary sewer system.
What You Can Do
- Run water briefly in sinks, showers, or floor drains to ensure drain traps are full
- Keep toilet lids closed when not in use
