The Town of New Tecumseth has many picnic areas and park amenities to choose from!
Pavilions and Outdoor Spaces
The Town of New Tecumseth offers picnic pavilions to use for shelter and picnics while you visit community parks and open spaces. Reserve a picnic pavilion to host a family reunion, anniversary, business retreat or other private gathering. There are several pavilions and outdoor spaces to choose from. Charcoal BBQ’s are not permitted in all Town of New Tecumseth parks and open spaces.
Bandshells
The Town of New Tecumseth’s Bandshells host a variety of concerts. Concerts take place every Sunday during the summer. Visit us with your family and friends and experience some good music!

Pavilions
You can rent pavilions at the Tottenham Conservation Area (TCA) on a daily basis. The pavilions offer a great, shady gathering place for private events like small business retreats, family reunions, picnics and more.
Picnic Pavilion rental requests to have alcohol onsite or for over 50 guests or for the Lions Pavilion at the Tottenham Conservation Area must continue to be submitted through a Facility Scheduler by submitting a request form.

Permits available: Up to 120 days prior to picnic date online. If you require a date outside of this timeframe please submit a request form.
Fees: Large pavilion rental half day $66.40 plus HST. Large pavilion rental full day $112.50 plus HST.
Picnic Tables: up to 10 tables onsite.
Electrical Outlets: 4 electrical outlets.

Playing Fields
There are many playing fields around the Town of New Tecumseth for you to enjoy.
Rentals
You can rent playing (soccer/football) fields for hourly play, leagues and tournaments. View our Fees and Charges By-law to learn more about rates and charges for soccer fields.

Basketball Courts
We maintain indoor basketball courts at the Tottenham Community and Fitness Centre. You can play by dropping in, organizing games or joining a Town youth basketball program.

Skate Parks

Alliston Skate Park
You can ride your skateboard, scooter or bicycle at the Alliston Skate Park at Riverdale Park and at the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre. The park features ramps and grind ledges and is open to those of all ages. Skate park facilities are open to the public from April 1 through mid-November each year. Please ensure you wear a helmet and safety equipment when riding in the skate park.
Riverdale Park Modular Pump Track
Designed for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades, this All Wheels Track offers an exciting space for residents of all ages and skill levels to get active and connect.
Located in Riverdale Park, 230 Fletcher Cres, Alliston, Ontario L9R1M1
The Pump Track is unsupervised. Use at your own risk. Know your abilities and operate within them. When you use this track, you assume all risks and responsibilities that are inherent to extreme sports activities which could result in harm to yourself, others and/or property.
1. The Pump Track is open to skateboards, scooters, inline skates, roller skates
and BMX bicycles. No pedestrians or animals allowed on the track.
2. NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES PERMITTED.
3. Parents are strongly encouraged to require their children to wear helmets and
arm/kneepads when using the track.
4. Children 12 and under should be supervised by an adult who is at least 18 years
of age.
5. The track has been designed for all skill levels. Be courteous of other people
using the track.
6. Always skate with the flow of traffic. Skating against the flow is dangerous and
can cause serious injury.
7. Respect other’s space. Give them room.
8. Do not use the pump track if hazardous conditions exist (rain, snow, ice and
darkness). Inspect the track for obstacles before use.
9. No alcohol, drugs, smoking or profanity permitted. Fighting will not be tolerated. No graffiti or tagging permitted.
10. Additional obstacles or other materials may not be brought onto the track.
11. All organized events must have written approval from the New Tecumseth
Recreation, Facilities and Culture Department and/or Public Works.
12. Anyone found not following the rules may be fines or prosecuted.
Splash Pads
We operate and maintain four community splash pads in the Town of New Tecumseth. Keep cool and enjoy the waterworks during the hot weather!
The splash pads are open each year, weather permitting, from Victoria Day in late May to Labour Day in early September. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day.

Outdoor Rinks
The outdoor rinks are situated along side the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre in Tottenham, Doner Diamond in Alliston, Beeton Community Park in Beeton.
