Facility Rentals

Once you have decided on a space that you would like to host your event in, the next step is to submit a rental request.  A Facility Scheduler will review your request and be in contact to discuss the availability of the requested dates and times along with your rental requirements. Please note requests and inquiries submitted will be responded to in sequential order.

Rental locations

Arena Floor

An arena floor dry pad surface (cement) is offered at the Alliston Memorial Arena as a rental space available year round and at the Beeton Memorial Arena, April to September annually. A dry pad is ideal for ball hockey, lacrosse or indoor sport training. 

Fieldhouse 

An indoor turf/fieldhouse is located at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre and available for rentals year round. Indoor footwear is required on the turf surface. Please note food and beverage are not permitted in the fieldhouse at any time. This space is ideal for soccer, lacrosse, football and indoor dryland training. 

Gymnasium 

The Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre offers the rental of a wood floor gymnasium that may be rented as a whole or divided into smaller areas. 

Whole Gymnasium rental space dimensions 60' x 100' 

Large Gymnasium rental space dimensions 60' x 60' 

Small Gymnasium rental space dimensions 60' x 40' 

This space is commonly rented as a sport rental space offering the use basketball, volleyball, badminton or pickleball nets. You can also host a social gathering or banquet in this space. 

Halls/Meeting Spaces 

The Town of New Tecumseth has many community halls and meeting rooms for all your meeting or social needs.

Ice pad Rentals - check ice pad availability

View available prime and non-prime ice times online up to 7 days in advance. Please note NTRC Ice Pad 1 is booked in 30 minute intervals. For example, at the start of the hour or 30 minutes past the hour.  NTRC Ice Pad 2 is booked in 15 minutes intervals. For example, 15 minutes past the hour or 15 minutes to the hour. 

To rent the ice please submit a booking request form. The most up to date information will be provided by staff when confirming your request. 

  • Prime Time: 5:00pm – 11:00pm Monday to Friday and 6:00am-11:00pm Saturday/Sunday
  • Non-Prime Time: 8:00am -5:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Early Bird Time: 6:00am – 8:00am Monday to Friday

FAQ's 

Can I serve alcohol during my rental/event? 
If alcohol is served during your rental, you will require a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) / Liquor License. You will also be required to provide the contact information of two Smart Serve certified servers listing their full name and certification number. You are responsible for providing smart serve certified staff.

 What if music is played at my rental/event?

If you are playing music at your rental/event, SOCAN and Re-Sound (Entandem) fees will be applied to your rental. SOCAN and Re-Sound are Canadian not-for-profit music licensing companies dedicated to obtaining fair compensation for artists, composers and record companies for their performance rights. The Town of New Tecumseth collects and remits these fees on behalf of SOCAN and Re-Sound. Please note the Town will calculate the necessary tariffs for the event and be payable under your event permit.

Can I bring a rented bouncy castle to my rental/event? 

To have a bouncy castle at your rental the inflatable company that you rent from must set up, monitor the use of and take down inflatable. They must also provide TSSA coverage. 5 million dollars of liability insurance must be provided. Any rentals using inflatables will need to provide their own insurance for their booking / activity naming the Town of New Tecumseth as additionally insured. Please reach out to your personal broker (who handles your home and auto insurance) for assistance.  

I would like to have a reptile/animal show at my child's birthday party. Is this permitted in a Town of New Tecumseth facility? 

Rentals including animals/reptiles are permitted with a licensed vendor upon staff approval and receipt of appropriate insurance documents. 

  • Vendor Insurance from the licensed vendor/animal company naming the Town of New Tecumseth as additionally insured is required for a Minimum $2 million General Liability. 
  • The rental will also have facility rental insurance applied as part of the rental process when booking your facility space. 
  • The vendor will be responsible for cleaning up after the animals and ensuring the space remains clean and in a  usable condition. 
 What does it cost for a sport rental?

All rental fees are applied from the Council approved Fees and Charges By Law. As per the fee by law, a 20% non-resident fee is applicable to those who are not deemed a Town of New Tecumseth resident. A further surcharge of 25% per hour shall be applied to all prime-time private Recreation, Sport and Culture rentals of parks and facilities. 

 What time of day is considered prime time? 
Fieldhouse: Monday-Friday 5:00pm -11:00pm & Weekends

Indoor Ice: Monday-Friday 5:00pm -11:00pm & Weekends

A further surcharge of 25% per hour shall be applied to all prime-time private recreation, sport and culture rentals of parks and facilities.
